After the disclosure of a conversation between the rape victim and a police officer, Daniel Alves’ defense questioned what was said by the young Spaniard on a TV show
Cristóbal Martelllawyer who is in charge of the case of Daniel Alvesin an interview withAna Rosa Program”, from Spanish TV, questioned the version released by the rape victim. Last Thursday, the broadcaster released a young conversation with a police officer, giving some details of what happened on the day she was allegedly raped by the Brazilian.
“This story of fear and dread does not match at all with what can be seen in the images of the previous moment at the VIP table, where it has already been demonstrated that there was sexual courtship. They dance together, rubbing against each other, he grabs her ass several times, she searches for him, not appreciating this horror scene that the young woman later describes before the judge.”said the lawyer.
Among other leaked conversations between the woman and the police officer, she claimed that the player insulted her, threw her purse on the ground and “started hitting”. However, Martell questioned what was disclosed and indicated that “in the examinations carried out on the complainant, no evidence of any type of violence or subjection was found”.
So far, there is still no date set for the trial of Daniel Alves. While the investigation is ongoing, the player will remain in custody. However, after almost five months of investigation, the case gained a new chapter this past week.
At first, the investigating judge agreed that the psychological assessment of the victim would only be carried out by the court’s experts. However, Daniel Alves’ defense appeal was accepted by the Court of Barcelona and, therefore, the Brazilian’s part will be present when the young woman was questioned.
