Joshua leaves Sky Sports and signs long-term deal with DAZN

Anthony will receive about $100 million a year

Former World Heavyweight Champion Anthony Joshua ceased cooperation with Sky Sports and entered into a long-term agreement with the streaming service DAZN.

It was reported that Joshua’s contract with DAZN Joshua would have two fights a year. According to the deal, Anthony will receive about $100 million a year.

“I am entering a new phase of my career with a new training environment, new coaches and now a new broadcaster. Negotiations at this level take time, so I’m glad it’s finalized and I can now fully focus on giving the fans and DAZN what they want – knockouts in the glam division,” Joshua said.

Joshua’s next fight will be against Oleksandr Usyk. The revenge of the British and the Ukrainian will be broadcast by DAZN on the PPV system (with pay-per-view).

The second fight between Usyk and Joshua will take place on August 13 or 20 in Saudi Arabia. The date of the fight should be announced in the coming days.

Last fall, Usyk defeated Joshua by unanimous decision to win the WBA, WBO, IBF and IBO heavyweight championship belts.
