New sanctions against Russia’s ally
UEFA on the official website of the organization excluded State TV and Radio Company of Belarus (BTRC) from the list of translators League of Nations.
Earlier, under the license of BTRC, the matches of the Belarusian national team in the League of Nations were broadcast by the Belarus 5 TV channel. The channel did not show the last two matches of the national team in the tournament against Kazakhstan (1:1) and Azerbaijan (0:2).
Belarus plays in Division C of the League of Nations. After four played rounds, the Belarusian team takes the last place in group 3.
Earlier, the International Olympic Committee did not allow Russia and Belarus to participate in the tender for the acquisition of television rights to broadcast the Olympic Games in 2026 and 2028.
Early on the morning of February 24, Russia launched rocket attacks on Ukrainian cities, and then launched a large-scale invasion. Part of the Russian troops entered the territory of Ukraine from Belarus.
