Santos preventively suspends Eduardo Bauermann’s contract

This Tuesday, the 16th, the saints announced the preventive suspension of the Eduardo Bauermannwhich is being investigated by Operation Maximum Penalty. The defender was already released from Peixão’s activities and did not train with his teammates in CT King Pelewhile defending himself against accusations of participation in the betting scheme.

After being considered a defendant for the operation promoted by the public ministry, Bauermann entered a list of eight players who would be subject to a 30-day suspension, in principle. However, Santos decided to remove the player and take this contractual action to prioritize the team’s moment on the pitch.

In the second half of 2022, the player was approached by a gambler and would have received an amount of BRL 50 thousand to receive a yellow card in the match against Hawaiiin a duel valid for the 36th round of the Brasileirão. However, the defender was unable to fulfill the agreement, which led to new problems for the athlete.
