Dovbik has a series of four goals in a row. Before repeating the best result of the season – one match, one goal before Mkhitaryan’s record

Artem Dovbik in the fourth match in a row does not leave the field without a goal scored. In the match of the 27th round, his accurate shot helped Dnipro-1 to take important three points in the match with Kolos, allowing Dnipro to keep the intrigue in the championship race.

A series of four goalscoring matches in a row – Dovbik already had this season. At the start of the championship, in the period from the fourth to the seventh round, Artem scored six goals, scoring a hat-trick in this segment in the match with Zorya. Dovbik has one match left before repeating his best goal streak in the 2022/2023 championship: in the period from the 19th to the 23rd round, the Dnipro-1 forward scored eight (!) goals, scoring a hat-trick against Metallist 1925 and double Lvov.

Now the striker has 24 goals in the current championship. After the break, Artem’s performance is impressive: Dovbik scored 13 goals in 13 matches: an average of 1 goal per game. In general, the championship – 24 goals in 27 matches, an average of 0.88 goals per match.

The closest pursuers of Dovbik in the dispute between the best snipers of the championships – midfielder Dynamo Vitaly Buyalsky and forward Vorskla Taulyan Seferi – are 12 goals behind. Interestingly, Buyalsky and Seferi also had a series of four goal matches (the Dynamo player had five goals from the 9th to the 12th rounds, the Vorsklyanin had six goals scored from the 14th to the 17th rounds)

The Dnipros have three matches left to play. “Doma” Dnepr-1 will play with Vorskla (round 28) and Kryvbas (round 30). In the away match, the opponent is Dnipro Shakhtar (round 29).

In the current championship, the Dnipro-1 forward has already scored against 12 clubs. Dovbik has four goals each for Metalist 1925, Zorya and Kolos, three for Lvov, two goals for Rukh, a goal each for Shakhtar, Kryvbas, Alexandria, Ingulets, Chernomorets, Alexandria and Minay.

At the same time, Dovbik, with a score of 24 goals, has already surpassed the results of 24 players who became the best UPL scorers in different seasons.

Dovbik is one goal away from Henrikh Mkhitaryan’s score. To surpass the result of the Armenian midfielder, the forward of Dnipro-1 needs to score two goals in three matches.
