Athletistic/Football. The Italian Football Federation (FIGC) has lodged a complaint against Juventus and seven of its former or current managers who are allegedly involved in “wage fraud”, which creates new problems for this club, according to Football-italia, citing La Gazzetta dello Sport.
The allegations involve the club itself and the seven directors involved. Andrea Agnelli, Pavel Nedved, Fabio Paratici, Federico Cerubini, Giovanni Manna, Paolo Morganti and Stefano Bragin are accused of breaching Article 4 of the Sports Justice Code and will have to defend themselves in court scheduled for June.
Prosecutor Giuseppe Cine accuses Juventus of violating Article 6, which refers to the violation of Article 4 by these seven administrators. The club faces a variety of penalties, including a warning, a fine, a penalty with warning and a points deduction.
Juventus are cooperating with prosecutors in the hope of only obtaining a monetary penalty, but the FIGC prosecutor has rejected these attempts and suggests that he will also demand the deduction of points.
It’s not yet clear how many points will be deducted, but we will find out on Monday, May 22, when the Bianconeri will be sanctioned in another financial case linked to the 2022/2023 season.
