Acting head coach of Dynamo Kyiv Alexander Shovkovsky commented on the victory in the match Round 27 UPL above Alexandria (5:1).

“It’s great to play football when you can do a lot. In order for this to happen, you must first of all understand what and how to do, and be responsible for all those comments and fulfill the points that we agree on before the game. We studied our today’s opponent, Ruslan Rotan’s team plays attacking football, they try to combine, prepare their attacks through the flanks. We knew it, we were preparing for it and, in principle, we fulfilled the game plan.

“The only moment is the missed ball. Then we made a mistake and therefore conceded a goal. In principle, I am pleased with the actions of our players and the motivation with which they entered this game. We live in such a situation that because of the air raid it was necessary to interrupt the match for 30 minutes, but the main thing is that everything is fine and the match was finished.

“If we’re talking about this situation [пауза из-за воздушной тревоги] – we called, and we thank the guys that they took the last 15 minutes of regular and stoppage time responsibly. Because we understood: in no case should we relax. You have to be responsible every second. You have to do what you can. The guys reacted to the situation very responsibly and I thank them for that.

“What is happening… we live in such realities. Unfortunately, our country lives in the realities of war and we need to adapt to this. In general, I must say thank you very much that this championship has begun. Because if this championship had not taken place, I don’t know how the clubs would exist. As they say, we have what we have, and we move forward with thoughts of victory. About our happy and free future.
