“Valence” investigation into alleged racist remarks against Real Madrid striker Vinicius Junior in Sunday’s La Liga game.
The Brazilian during the match of the 35th day of the Spanish championship against Valencia (0-1) was insulted by the supporters in the stands, at the end of the meeting, the player received a red card.
“Although this is a one-off episode, insults against an opposing player have no place in football and are not in line with the values and identity of Valencia. The club is investigating what happened and will take the toughest action against those responsible, the club said in a statement.
After the match, Madrid head coach Carlo Ancelotti pointed out that there was a ‘racism problem’ in La Liga.
This season, there have already been eight separate complaints from Real Madrid regarding offensive remarks against Vinicius.
