“Genoa, Milito: ‘Now I’m waiting for a team to return to cup games'” caption XIX century.
Interview with “Prince” Diego Milito, ex-Grifone striker: “I have great memories, Genoa is a special team for me and my family.”
“Now I look forward to Genoa growing up in Serie A. And coming back to play in the cups like in our great years.” Diego Milito has won everything a footballer can win, he just missed the World Cup with Argentina. In his career, he has worn the shirts of Racing, Real Zaragoza, Genoa and Inter. With the Nerazzurri, he won the Champions League and the Scudetti, but that period in the Rossoblu paved the way for him to conquer Europe. And one of the achievements that the Prince always asks for is the Griffin.
Have you seen the promotional party? What impression did he make on you?
“These are sensations that I know well, because I experienced them right there, in Genoa. I followed the team throughout the year, I know how difficult Serie B is, I remember it well. It was important to get back immediately, it’s never easy to start again when you’ve just fallen. Returning to Serie A is very important, I am happy that Genoa has been successful. And the first time” […].
Champions and league titles with Inter, a career that began and ended at Racing. What does a griffin represent to you?

“I have great memories, a special team for me and my family. It is in my heart because I was welcomed there and had some very good years. This is the team that allowed me to go and play in Europe, starting with Argentina, this is the club that made me famous at a high level.”
What is your best memory?
“I have a lot. The first one is promotion to Serie A after so many years and then cancellation. I left but I felt that sooner or later I would return. I had to close the circle and after three years I really returned to Genoa. with qualification for the Europa League and, above all, two derbies won with four goals scored and a lot of fans that remind me of them.”
Who impressed you from the current players?
“I think this promotion was primarily a team result. I saw him compact, cohesive, strong. And thanks to guys with a lot of experience like Mimmo, Badelj, Strootman, Sturaro. Except for a few very interesting young people.”
Will he return to Ferrari?
“Hopefully soon, of course, in Serie A” […].
