“Sobolev harshly accused Spartak of his behavior, and Rosha did not deserve to be fired” – Korneev

Former CSKA footballer Igor Korneev believes that the defender of the army Willian Rocha didn’t deserve to be sent off in WORLD RPL Round 28 game with Spartak.

The Sunday encounter of the 28th round of the MIR RPL, which was held at the Otkritie Bank Arena, ended with a score of 2: 1 in favor of Spartak. “Red-Whites” striker Alexander Sobolev, after one of the martial arts in the second half, showed an obscene gesture to Roche, pointing to his groin. After that, Rocha appealed to the referee and repeated the obscene gesture to the linesman. The match’s chief referee Sergei Karasev, after consulting assistants, showed both players red cards. In the 87th minute, Karasev awarded CSKA a penalty.

– Sobolev severely framed the team with his behavior and this inappropriate gesture. Moreover, this moment, just before the red card, was preceded by several others, where the same participants, Sobolev and Rocha, became emotionally heated. You have to be wiser and more sober!

Rocha didn’t deserve a red card because he tried to explain the moment to the referee with gestures, since he doesn’t speak Russian. I don’t understand how the judges didn’t understand that. Strange decision.

Penalty at the end of the match? If the CSKA defender touched the Spartak player’s leg, it’s a penalty, Korneev told Metaratings.ru.

Spartak scored 53 points and moved up to third place in the RPL table, CSKA are second with 54 points.
