Sport Arena names the symbolic team of the next UPL round of the 2022/23 season, as well as the best in individual nominations, which are determined by our website for each round
Goalkeeper – Alexander Bandura (FC Minay)

Chernomorets is on the rise after the epic victory over Dynamo, so Bandura was a priori preparing for difficult work. Vasiliev, Badibanga, Ermakov, Hadida shot from different positions and in different situations, Minaya Kravchuk from Odessa cut the ball into his own net – in all these cases, an experienced goalkeeper saved the guests. And in the 61st minute, Sasha scored an assist (!), throwing the ball to Gechev’s move (the Moldavian deserves applause here, who completed the solo raid with a goal kick with a rebound from the opponent). It would have been simply impossible to win in Odessa without Bandura’s courageous game.
Right back – Giorgi Gocholeishvili (Shakhtar)

The Georgian defender got a chance to prove himself and did a lot of running work. Let’s be honest: at times Veres was seriously pushing the Donetsk defence. Gocholeishvili, on the other hand, completed one of the flank passes with a serve, after which the defender of the visiting hosts played a hand and Sikan could consolidate Shakhtar’s advantage (this is already his problem that he did not convert that penalty).
Central defender – Eduard Sarapiy (SC Dnipro-1)

From the opening round, when debutant Sarapiy scored against Dynamo, to the current championship endgame matches, Eduard is the talisman of Kucher’s new team. He played the match against Kolos by no means flawlessly and even made several serious mistakes in defense, however, how he redeemed himself in stoppage time! Sarapiy went for a corner kick and snatched a strong-willed victory over the Kovalevites with a header with a rebound from the opponent.
Central defender – Nikita Bezugly (Metalist 1925)

This season, Bezuglyy seems to have closed all defensive positions – and was effective everywhere. And in the Kharkiv derby, he also opened the scoring, when, after a free kick from Vachiberadze, Rusin loaded into the frame, and Nikita was the first to finish. Of course, it must be said right away that the task of his team was facilitated by the disqualification of the leading striker Metallist Pryadun – however, even without that, Bezugly deserved to be marked by a selfless game at his gate.
Left Defender – Mykola Matvienko (Shakhtar)

In the last rounds, Matvienko starts on the left, later, after replacing Rakitsky, he moves to the center. Nikolai also takes on the implementation of standards much more often. This time, however, Matvienko had to act as the savior of the leader – it was he who, after connecting and serving Rakitsky, scored the winning goal against Veres, who put up worthy resistance to the main contender for the championship.
Central midfielder – Alexander Andrievsky (Dynamo)

Playing without Sidorchuk, Andrievsky felt a double responsibility in the central match of the tour and coped with it. It was Sasha who took over the game and shooting – he could score earlier, opening the scoring with an aimed shot after Kabaev’s pass. He shot several more times on Shevchenko’s goal, including with a real threat to the opponent. Alexander successfully tied the lines and kept the balance in the center of the field so that other midfielders could freely create.
Right midfielder – Vasily Runich (Rukh)

It happens: the replacement comes in so much that it turns the game around. PFC Lviv held out for a long time, but the entry of fresh young players from Rukh decided the fate of the derby. Runich with Kvasnitsa, Sapuga and Prytula constantly attacked the opponents, several times they were a little short of completion. But when Vasily launched Kvasnitsa, defender Siminin knocked the ball into his own net from under him – an own goal. The wobbly score was fixed by Runich himself – after a subtle pass from Sapuha on the second attempt, he scored the second ball into the opponents’ goal.
Attacking midfielder – Vitaly Buyalsky (Dynamo)

First of all, Buyalski could have scored on his own – Baboglo, a newcomer to the Moldova national team, blocked a player at the last moment, who even led the top scorer race for some time. Much more Vitaly managed to play along. After his pass, Vanat could well score, instead he gave out exquisite and perfectly adjusted assists to the goals of Ovcharenko and Voloshin. Two assists – Buyalsky’s worthy contribution to the crushing victory in Alexandria.
Left midfielder – Nazariy Rusin (Zorya)

A sharp, high-speed Rusin turned every ball reception into passes with an aggravation. After his brilliant pass, Guerrero was supposed to score, and Nazariy himself held out the ball after an interception and a pass from Dryshlyuk and an excellent dribble shot from under his opponents put an end to a difficult match with Ingulets. 10th league goal with five assists – can you believe that this guy was on the bench in previous teams?
Forward – Artem Dovbik (SC Dnipro-1)

The leader of the scorer race has been marked by scoring action in each of the last ten matches since the beginning of April (a total of 12 goals and two assists in the series). In a conditionally home match against Kolos, Dovbik tried to score both from a free kick and from the field. Even the “goal-phantom” scored on rebounds after Rubchinsky’s shot. When, after Matarrita’s serve, the short Tanchik dropped the ball on Artem with his head, he simply could not miss. By equalizing the score, he turned the game around and ushered in a strong-willed victory for a still contender for the championship.
Forward – Ruslan Stepanyuk (Vorskla)

He did not score in the last two matches, but decided the fate of a difficult confrontation with Kryvbas. Stepanyuk could have opened the scoring earlier, but he lost the moment after Perduta’s pass and even committed a foul in attack. However, when Batsula gave a diagonal from the depth, Ruslan scored an even more difficult ball in execution, heading it in an arc with a rack. This is Vorskla’s 500th home goal in the top division – it brings her victory, allowing her to bypass Kryvyi Rih.

Despite the loss of a number of players (injured goalkeeper Boyko, defender Popov, midfielders Shaparenko and Lednev, forward Supryaga, key defensive player Sidorchuk received a respite, winger Diallo left for the Senegal national team, due to a bust of cards Dubinchak could not play after the infirmary, goalkeeper Buschan and midfielder Lonwijk), Dynamo inflicted a devastating defeat on their closest pursuers – the Alexandrians. After a series of substitutions and a pause for air raids, the people of Kiev only increased their advantage and achieved their fourth devastating victory in the championship.
Analysis from the All-Ukrainian Association of Football Coaches – here.

He came on as a substitute for the second half, but turned the Lviv derby upside down at the cost of maintaining a residence permit. Even without Klimchuk and Solomon Runich coped with a rather experienced defense of PFC Lviv. It was he who dispersed the attack, which ended with Siminin’s own goal, and later picked up the ball and with ostentatious ease put an end to this important – for his team and the entire group of outsiders – match.
- Sport Arena stats: 18 league matches, 2 goals.

It would seem that Zorya beat Ingulets quite confidently, but in fact, goalkeeper Saputin had to seriously enter the game several times. He pulled a difficult shot close to Pospelov, who closed the standard with a header, and also coped with a free kick from Golovkin, whose leg went, which complicated the long-range shot.
- Sport Arena stats: 12 league matches, 6 goals conceded, 7 wedge-sheets.

He gave an assist to Vanat, was ready to score, but the defender of the Alexandrians Loginov previously cut the ball into his own net. Kahim opened the scoring with his assists in the Premier League of Ukraine, and in general he looked quite decent in Dynamo. From the Jamaican legionnaire, for the first time we see a fairly strong match and the active participation of the Kyiv team in the game.
Sport Arena stats: 11 league matches, 1 assist.

The best player of this tour was the player who gave two exquisite assists in the central match of the tour in Alexandria.
- Sport Arena stats: 24 league games, 12 goals, 5 assists.
