Czech coach Vlastimil Petrzhela believes Spartak would have been among the top five teams in the Cyprus league, but would not have won the tournament.
– I think Spartak wouldn’t even win the Cyprus championship – they would take a place in the top five. (Laughs).
Although, to be honest, the RPL and the Cyprus League today are the same leagues in terms of level. But Zenit would most likely have won gold medals there as often as in Russia, Petrzhela told RB Sport.
Spartak are third in the WORLD RPL standings with 53 points. On May 28, Spartak will host PARI NN.
