Athletistic/ Football. It’s no secret that football is popular all over the world. In many countries that we know, this sport is at the forefront in terms of people’s interest. Kazakhstan is no exception. The country has a huge number of worthy teams from different cities. One of them can be called “Kairat” of Alma-Ata. Last Sunday, May 21, Athletistic visited the home match of this team against “Kaisar” from Kyzylorda, which was held as part of the tenth round of the Kazakhstan football championship.
“Kairat” holds its home matches at the “Central” stadium. The sports facility is located in the Bostandyk district of Almaty, on Satpayev Street. The nearest metro stations are “Mukhtar Auezov Theater” and “Baikonur”.
Tickets for Kairat matches can be purchased on the club’s official website. The transition to the stadium consists of two stages. The first is to scan the QR code on the ticket and go through the turnstile. The second pass already takes place directly on the stands and includes a metal detector inspection. A ticket for the side sector of the lower tier of the West Stand costs 1,200 tenge (about 215 rubles). It is worth noting the beautiful views that open from the stadium – we are mainly talking about mountain landscapes that open from the stands. Even if you didn’t like the team’s game, you can get by with a good view of the mountains and a few buildings.
A special interest in Kairat is also due to the fact that former CSKA and Russian national team defender Viktor Vasin plays for him. The Russian moved to Kazakhstan in February last year and went to the game with Kaisar with the captain’s armband. Moreover, the legendary Andrey Arshavin managed to play for the Alma-Ata team earlier.
If we talk about the match itself, it turned out not to be very rosy for Kairat fans. Almaty team lost against “Kaisar” with the score 0:3. All goals were scored in the first half – in the tenth minute Joao Pedro scored a goal, after which Dmitry Borodin scored a brace: in the 24th minute he converted a penalty, he did the same to the end of the first half. The second half was played without goals.
Not to mention the local fans. You can feel the local residents’ earnest love for football and for their team. If there were few fans in the usual sectors, then the fan sectors were packed. People actively supported their team until the final whistle. Moreover, the club also motivates the fans to be active in the stands. For example, flags with the Kairat logo are distributed free of charge at the entrance to the stadium.
In general, it is clear that football in Kazakhstan is flourishing. “Kairat” and the “Central” stadium were pleased with a fairly good organization of the matches themselves, including the entertainment program.
