The Ukrainian Premier League is trying to solve the issue of broadcasting league matches in the next seasons.
The Ukrainian Premier League is constantly looking for a way out of the crisis on the issue of creating a single telepool. To solve the problem, they even organized a separate meeting of club representatives.
The organization’s press service reports that the main topic is the issue of broadcasting league matches in the next seasons. Representatives of the teams discussed potential formats for the implementation of media rights and vectors for the development of an independent UPL product. As a result, the delegates voted for the creation of an independent OTT platform. This proposal was unanimously supported.
Now the director of the UPL, led by the new leader Yevgeny Diky, must develop the UPL-TV project, the owners of which are the clubs themselves.
An online follow-up meeting is planned in the near future, where a more specific action plan and options for its implementation will be presented.
