Dnepr-1 lost to Vorskla
Head coach of SC Dnepr-1 Alexander Kucher commented on the defeat of Vorskla (1:2) in the home game of the 28th round of the UPL. The coach also spoke negatively about the work of referees.
“Of course, now the guys are upset, because they played and gave themselves, they showed very good football today, but one goal scored was not enough for us. Well, on penalties: first, in one episode, VAR said that there was a violation of the rules, and in another moment, VAR said that there was no handball in the penalty area … So, where is the penalty, where is it not, I don’t understand anything.
“I remember that Vorskla played with someone, it ended 2-2, and there the ball hit the hand of one of the opponents too, so a penalty was awarded there. Well, why don’t they put such penalties for us, and this is not the first time. We had the same hand with Kryvbas, when we lost 1:2, and then we didn’t put a penalty kick in the gates of Krivorozhye. That is, for someone they appoint such 11-meter ones, but for some reason they don’t for us. ”
“Maybe we need to put another additional one on top of one VAR? How they interpret the rules is unclear. But I understand why Svatok was given a yellow card: there is our out, he tells the referee about it and gets a fourth yellow card to miss the game with Shakhtar. These are understandable things that occur in our football.”
“And so it turns out that the guys have been working all year, winning victories and breaking everything in one game … So why play then? Maybe not at all?”
SC Dnepr-1 remained in second place. Oleksandr Kucher’s team is two points behind the leader Shakhtar, having played a match more. In the next match, Dnipro-1 will play with Shakhtar on May 28. Vorskla on May 29 will receive Kolos.
