Athletistic/Football. Artur Grigoryants, head of the Russian Football Union’s Control and Disciplinary Committee, spoke about the decision-making process to overturn the red card shown to CSKA player Willian Roche in the game against Spartak in the 28th round of the RPL.
“We listened to Cheltsov (the derby side judge), as well as Rosa: we asked them to explain why the incident happened. Willian doesn’t speak Russian or English, so he explained himself with body language during the game. CSKA sent a request to cancel the red card, and we submitted a request for cancellation to ESC. Based on the decision of the ESC, we have decided to correct the mistake made by the judge and to cancel the illegal withdrawal of Roshi”, reports the correspondent of the Championship according to the words of Grigoryants.
