Athletistic / Football. Wednesday’s main event was the FTC RFU meeting. He considered the resounding refereeing of Sergei Karasev in the match of the 28th round of RPL “Spartak” – CSKA.

Karasev, of course, was lucky with the derby. Two canceled goals, penalties, two withdrawals. Fair fire!

Spartak striker Alexander Sobolev became the main scorer. The red and white striker clearly didn’t share anything with CSKA defender Willian Rocha. Throughout the match, the rivals actively butted heads, and it all ended with a rude gesture from Sobolev. The “Spartacus” striker in the middle of the second half grabbed his groin.

Rocha, trying to get the judges’ attention, showed them what his opponent showed him. But the language barrier played a cruel trick on the Brazilian. Karasev sent the two participants in the incident to the locker room.

Victim or aggressor?

Before the KDK RFU “Spartak” decided to defend Sobolev in an original way. The reds and whites tried to make the attacker the victim. “Spartak” presented the FTC with a video confirming that Willian Rocha had repeatedly grabbed his groin even before this removal. Apparently, the CSKA striker was actively provoking the opponent in this way.

However, the version did not withstand any criticism. CSKA also actively mocked her, showing that Rosha usually likes to cling to her groin even when she leaves the room under the stands.

In several episodes, Rocha on the pitch really retained a causal place, but it’s extremely unlikely that it was directed at Sobolev. Judging by the same videos, the Spartak striker didn’t even see his counterpart in those moments!

The FTC RFU did not believe Spartak. Additionally, the organization rescinded Roshi’s red card, admitting that Karasev made a mistake in this episode. At the same time, Sobolev was “welded” with four disqualification matches.

The striker is going on vacation earlier than expected. Moreover, he will now also miss the first games of the new season. Fair? Maybe quite.

I have to change

It is obvious that his reputation played against Sobolev. The striker very often arranges incomprehensible provocations on the field. Either he fought with Zenit, or he actively falls in the penalty area. In general, a very unpleasant character, at least for neutral fans and rivals.

Probably, if Sobolev had a different reputation, the punishment would have been more lenient. And so, as they say, on the whole.

Meanwhile, there have been earlier calls to disqualify him completely for 10 matches. It may already be too much. It is gratifying that the FTC acted in accordance with the standards and prescribed sanction. Everything is in accordance with the law. Demonstrative spanking is certainly not necessary here.

Sobolev defended his first coach Alexander Gorbunov.

“The suspension for 4 matches is unfair. Too much. The guy needs to play! Did Rosha behave normally? Didn’t he provoke? He is equally guilty. If Sobolev was suspended, then he should have been too. Well, he broke. The yard played into him. But he’s a normal guy,” Gorbunov quotes Sport24.

Former CSKA footballer Valery Masalitin advised taking the striker to a psychologist.

“We have to give credit to the FTC, they approached this episode responsibly. They understood that and realized that Rocha was just repeating those gestures to get the judges to pay attention to Sobolev’s act. However, the coaching staff should explain to Roche that this may no longer be done.

As for Sobolev, there was a punishment in the form of 3-6 assists. They gave me something in between. But it is important to understand the following – according to my calculations, Alexander this season in about 5-6 games should have been sent off even before this red card.

Spartak management should pay attention to this trend if they want to continue working with Alexander. For example, take him to see a psychologist or have some kind of educational conversation to calm him down. We must not forget that Sobolev is also a football player for the national team, so we may lose another football player for the national team”, quotes Masalitin RB Sports.

Former Russian national team midfielder Alexander Mostovoy has spoken out against the persecution of Sobolev.

“I saw that Alexander Sobolev was poisoned, but it’s not from a great mind. Why poison him? It’s one thing to just say what he did, and another thing to poison,” Mostovoy quotes. RIA News”.

Well, in this situation, the main thing is that the participants draw the right conclusions. It is clear that Sobolev has talent. But this behavior does not paint it at all. Well, Roche somehow has to deal with the language barrier without ambiguous gestures.
