Ceará takes the lead in the first half, but yields a draw to Goiás in the second half; Pedro Raul and Mendonza scored the goals of the match at Serrinha
Goiás and Ceará drew 1-1 this Sunday afternoon, 12, in Serrinha, for the 11th round of the 2022 Brazilian Championship. Mendoza opened the scoring for Vozão, still in the first half of the match, and Pedro Raul (penalty), avoided the defeat of the emerald team at home.
With the result, the teams reached 14 points and followed tied in the national competition classification table. Vozão takes the advantage by goal difference and occupies the 14th place, followed by Esmeraldino, 13th. First inside the relegation zone, the cuiabá adds 12 points.

The teams return to the field next Wednesday, 15, for the dispute of the 12th round of Serie A of the Brazilian Championship. First, at 7 pm (Brasilia time), Ceará will host Atlético-MG, at Arena Castelão. Later, at 8:30 pm (Brasília time), Goiás will host Internacional at Serrinha stadium.
THE GAME
Ceará needed eight minutes to open the scoring at Serrinha. Vina made the cross in the measure for Mendonza to head and open the score: 0 to 1. The Esmeraldino team almost equalized in the 11th minute, in a dangerous cross kick from Pedro Raul to the area. Afterwards, Vozão started to scare the home team more.
On the return of the break, at three minutes, Mendonza found space and kicked hard, forcing Tadeu to send the ball to a corner. The match went on without many clear chances on both sides. In the 38th minute, Goiás was under pressure from Ceará when Bruno Pacheco brought Maguinho down in the area, he was sent off and the referee awarded a penalty for the home team. Pedro Raul went for the kick and didn’t waste: 1 to 1.
