Ukrainian winger will leave Al Ain in the summer
Winger Al Ain Andrey Yarmolenko spoke about the experience of playing in the UAE Championship. Also, the player of the Ukrainian national team spoke about his future.
“The most difficult thing was to adapt to the weather conditions. Never in my life have I had to play at a temperature of 40 degrees. A little hot, to be honest, but I’m used to it. In general, I’m happy with the season. Of course, I wanted to win the championship and the Cup, but this is football – sometimes you win, and sometimes you lose, ”said Yarmolenko.
“Of course, this is a new experience. Good experience. I am pleased with what I saw. I found many new friends, watched the level of football, lived in this country. So far, I can’t say where I’m going next. I don’t know this myself. I still have a month of contract, I need to finalize it and remain a professional. When the agreement is over, we will sit down and think.”
Earlier it was reported that Al Ain would not renew the contract with Yarmolenko. This season, the 33-year-old Ukrainian has 33 matches for the team from the UAE, in which the winger scored 12 goals and 6 assists.
Al Ain finished the season in the UAE League in second place in the standings. On May 27, Sergey Rebrov’s team will play against Al-Sharjah in the final of the UAE League Cup.
