Athletistic/Football. Prominent sports commentator Gennady Orlov has expressed his stance saying he doesn’t consider Spartak striker Quincy Promes a legend due to his reputation and past criminal cases in the Netherlands. According to Orlov, a person who has an impeccable character without negative episodes is considered a legend.
“Will Promes become a Spartak legend? That can only be said after his retirement. Promes is a good football player and he is currently one of the best strikers in Russian football along with Malcolm. He has an excellent technique. However, he has criminal cases from Holland, and that makes me doubt. Spartak legends are people like Simonyan and Netto – worthy personalities. A legend is a person without negative episodes. However, the decision of whether Promes will be a Spartak legend belongs to the club itself”, – Sport24 quotes Gennady Orlov.
- Orlov called Sobolev a geek who needs to be eliminated every game
