Rodrigo Dourado had a contract with Internacional until December this year. Due to the rules of the agreement, he could already sign a pre-contract in July and leave for free. This transfer is being considered as good for the gaucho club and also for the player, who did not fall in the favor of the Colorado fan.
The interest of the Mexican team in the player was reported at the beginning of the month, when the first proposal presented was rejected by the board of Internacional. With that, the Mexicans had to increase the value of the proposal to reach the molds that the club was looking for, and only then were they able to proceed with the transaction.
Career
Rodrigo Dourado made his debut for Internacional’s professional team in 2012. Since then, he has taken the field in 307 games with the Colorada shirt, having scored 20 goals so far. With the team, he won some gaucho titles, in addition to the gold medal at the Rio Olympics in 2016.
The last time the athlete was in action for the gaucho team was last Saturday, 11th, against Flamengo, in the victory by 3 to 1, in Beira-Rio, for the Brasileirão. He even had the chance to leave the club in early 2022 when the Damac FCfrom Saudi Arabia, offered 1 million euros, around R$5.15 million, but the midfielder himself chose not to go ahead with the negotiation.
