Ecuador’s historic victory in the Under-20 World Cup: it makes nine for Fiji and enters the podium of the most beautiful victories

Friday 26 May 2023 has become a historic day for football in Ecuador . His youth team won a historic triumph at the Under-20 World Cup taking place in Argentina. It was nothing less than a landslide 9-0 against Fiji which allowed him to qualify for the round of 16 of the competition.

With this triumph Ecuador recorded the third biggest victory in the history of the World under 20 . First on the list is the 12-0 Norway scored against Honduras at the 2019 World Cup in Poland. In the group stage of this edition, the Nordics crushed the catrachos, with nine goals from a certain Erling Haaland. The current Manchester City striker, a global footballing figure, has scored just the same as Ecuador as a whole have done to weak Fiji.
