In the final, Elina beat the Russian Blinkova
Ukrainian tennis player Elina Svitolina became the winner of the tournament WTA 250 V Strasbourg.
In the final, Svitolina defeated Russian Anna Blinkova. The duel lasted an hour and a half.
In the first set, Elina made three breaks and left her opponent no chance – 6:2. In the second game, the Ukrainian was also stronger, winning from the fourth match point — 6:3.
Svitolina won the first tournament after returning to the Tour. Elina suspended her career due to pregnancy and the birth of her daughter.
It is also Svitolina’s first trophy since August 2021, when she won the tournament in Chicago. In total, the Ukrainian has 17 WTA titles.
Svitolina became the champion of the tournament in Strasbourg for the second time in her career. Previously, the Ukrainian won the competition in France in 2020.
Svitolina will start at Roland Garros next week. In the first round, Elina will play against 26th seeded Martina Trevisan from Italy.
