The Dnipro club is dissatisfied with the work of the referees
Ukrainian Football Association officially announced that the arbitrator Evgeny Aranovsky suspended from his duties. The UAF Referees Committee and the UAF Ethics and Fair Play Committee will consider the work of a referee in the match of the 28th round of the UPL Dnipro-1 – Vorskla (1:2).
“The Referees Committee and the UAF Ethics and Fair Play Committee received an appeal from the Dnipro-1 sports club with a request to give a proper assessment of the refereeing actions in the match of the 28th round of the UPL between the teams of Dnepr-1 and Vorskla.”
“We draw your attention to the fact that the committees paid attention to this match even before receiving the letter. While the checks within the competence continue, a decision was made to remove arbitrator Yevgeny Aranovsky from his official duties.”
“Also, while studying all the circumstances around and during the game between Dnipro-1 and Vorskla, we ask the media not to further escalate the situation and not manipulate information. We will announce the outcome of the case later. But we are confident that in cooperation with the committee of arbitrators we will give a proper assessment of the situation. After all, football should profess the main value, which is fair play,” the UAF said in a statement.
After the match with Vorskla, the head coach of Dnipro-1 Oleksandr Kucher expressed dissatisfaction with the work of the referees. Recall that the main referee of the meeting was Yaroslav Kozyk, and Aranovsky worked for VAR.
Dnipro-1 ranks second in the UPL, five points behind Shakhtar two rounds before the end of the season. The leaders of the championship will meet in a head-to-head match on May 28. The match will be judged by Ekaterina Monzul.
