Winger called up to Ukraine national team for June matches
Ukrainian winger Al Ain Andrey Yarmolenko will not help the team in the final match UAE League Cup against Al Sharjah.
Al Ain head coach Sergey Rebrov reported that Yarmolenko will miss today’s fight due to injury. The winger was injured in the second leg against Al Nasr.
This season, 33-year-old Yarmolenko has played 33 matches for the UAE team, scoring 12 goals and providing 6 assists. It was reported that Al Ain would not renew the contract with the Ukrainian.
Recall that Yarmolenko received a call to the Ukrainian national team for the June matches against Germany, North Macedonia and Malta.
The final match of the UAE League Cup between Al Ain and Al Sharjah will start at 18:30 Kyiv time. Last season, Rebrov’s team became the winner of the tournament, beating Al-Ahly in the decisive match.
Al Ain finished the season in the UAE League in second place in the standings. Recall that Rebrov in the coming days may lead the national team of Ukraine.
