PSG coach Christophe Galtier said he deserved to continue leading the Paris team after the club became national champions.
The day before, Paris Saint-Germain drew with Strasbourg in the first leg of the 37th round of Ligue 1 and won the title of French football champion.
“I think I deserved a second season at Paris Saint-Germain. I always worked with maximum energy and managed to stay the course in the most difficult moments. Personally, I think I deserves a sequel,” Galtier said.
Paris Saint-Germain became champions of France for a record 11th time, ahead of Saint-Étienne (10) in third place by number of titles Marseille (9).
