“I had the opportunity to visit Cagliari with the guys on Saturday, and although the final result was not positive, I was proud of the dedication of the guys. The start of the match did not turn out the way we had hoped, but the team never gave up and fought to the end, several times in the second half came close to leveling the score.
It was a season of ups and downs, but in the end we achieved a lot. After a very difficult start to the season, the guys never gave up, just as they didn’t give up on Saturday evening. We played great football under coach Vanoli and earned another adventure in the playoffs. I’m proud of what they’ve done as a group and I’m sure we’ll keep that momentum going into next season.

Now we will start looking at our plans for next season, but before we focus on that, I would like to reflect on what we have achieved in the last 12 months. Our first team made the playoffs, Primavera had their best season in recent history and also made it to the playoffs, the women’s team will play in the Coppa Italia final next month and our youth academy continues to develop our talent pool. Our new headquarters in Tallercio is almost ready and will open next month. There are many positive results with which we are starting again.
Finally, there are other people I would like to thank. Thanks to Paolo Vanoli and Filippo Antonelli for believing in the Venice Football Club project. Their input has already been important and I hope we can work together to create something even more special. Thanks to Andrea Sonchin for all the hard work leading the Primavera team through the many changes this season. Thanks to my colleagues from Venezia FC: this is not an easy job and your efforts are greatly appreciated. Finally, thanks to the fans for joining us again. This project is important to both you and us, and your passion and support has helped turn Penzo back into a fortress. We look forward to sharing our new training center with you in the near future.
Come on, Venice!
