Kievans will play with the Turkish giants in the Champions League qualification
Former coach Dynamo and the Ukrainian team Jozsef Szabo summed up the draw for the second round of qualification Champions League. According to its results, the rival of the Kyiv club was the Turkish Fenerbahce.
“Greek AEK would be an easier opponent for Dynamo in my opinion. They play softer football, so to speak. Turks are tougher. Fenerbahce is a weak opponent, but we need to see what condition we will be in, how the preparation will go. It is very important that there are games, because training is one thing, but games are quite another,” Szabo said.
“The chances to pass Fenerbahce are good, but the preparation for these meetings plays a big role. Also, we must not forget that we are at war and the opinions and views of our players are directed to Ukraine: how are our guys doing, how many young people are dying … In any case, I constantly think about it.
The first match between Dynamo and Fenerbahce will take place on July 19/20. Second leg – 26/27 July. The winner of the confrontation will advance to the third qualifying round of the Champions League, while the losing team will go to the third qualifying round of the Europa League.
