In another case, the Public Ministry of the Netherlands asked for the arrest of the former player of Ajax and the Dutch national team. At first, the Dutchman was accused of attempted murder, but the prosecution concluded that they did not have enough evidence.
Quincy Promes played for Ajax in 2019, shortly after the Dutch team had a historic campaign in the Champions League. However, after two seasons, the striker was transferred to Spartak Moscow, the club he currently defends. According to the ‘ANP’ news agency, the preliminary hearing on the case will take place on June 5th. The striker will not be able to be present due to contractual obligations with Spartak Moscow.
