Portuguese midfielder Nani left Melbourne Victory, according to the Australian club’s website.
The midfielder joined the team last summer, signing a contract for the season with the possibility of a one-year extension. In January, the 36-year-old suffered a knee injury, due to which he was out for the rest of the season. In total, he made 10 appearances for Melbourne, scoring two assists.
“Melbourne Victory can confirm that Nani will leave the club following the end of the A-League season,” the statement read.
Nani previously played for Sporting Lisbon, Manchester United, Fenerbahce, Valencia, Lazio, Orlando City and Venice. The midfielder played 112 games for the Portuguese national team, scored 23 goals and became European champion in 2016.
