“I don’t think the abolition of summer camp makes sense for the Russian team” – Nepomniachtchi

Russian football coach and civil servant Valery Nepomniashchi sees no point in the Russian team training when there are no matches.

Earlier, , citing RFU General Secretary Maxim Mitrofanov, said that the Russian national team will not have training camps until autumn.

– I don’t think that the abolition of the summer camp has any significance for the Russian team. Canceling the collection without games is a completely logical decision. There is no point in training if there are no matches. The offseason is very short, players don’t have time to recover and relax. And if you make a collection without games, it’s another psychological burden. I don’t think it’s any kind of loss. It is obvious that a worthy adversary has not been found. They tried, but they couldn’t find it,” Nepomniachtchi told the “Championship”.

In April, the Russian national team refused to participate in the Central Asian Football Association (CAFA) championship, which will be held from June 9 to 21.
