According to the results of the 17th round, Artur Zagorulko was again recognized by the PFL and Sport Arena as the best player. The conversation was postponed a little, because the final round was ahead, in which Niva (Vinnitsa) had real chances to reach the playoffs and medals.
And although in the end other teams rose higher, our conversation took place. And it turned out to be much more informative.
– There is information that you do not renew the contract with Ostapenko, but he remains to work in the structure of the club. Can you comment on this information?
– I would like to note that Oleg Vladimirovich worked a lot during this season. After February 24, I had to assemble a team from scratch. He accepted these challenges and began to work. The coach did everything to make Niva progress.
Before the start of the second part of the season, we set the task of finishing in second place, taking into account the tournament situation, and we had a certain improvement. Unfortunately, we didn’t have enough. I can’t say that we fired the coach because he didn’t complete the task. We just realized that it was time to make certain changes in the team.
Ostapenko will work next season as a goalkeeping coach. In two weeks we will announce the name of the new coach, whom I have known for a long time.
– You won the scorer race by converting five penalties. Does your experience help with 11m?
– All the same, the excitement is present and there is no getting away from it. Unfortunately, I could not score two penalties. I am happy that I became the best scorer of the championship. I want to thank my teammates. Did the team play for me? I think that yes, and helped to score.
– Did you congratulate Vadim Strashkevich on his debut goal for Niva?
– Finally, Vadim excelled and everyone breathed a sigh of relief. Next season he should improve and score more goals. He knows how to do it.
– Considering the level of the game, did Niva deserve a promotion?
– I can’t answer this question right away, because there are many nuances. For the First League, we needed to significantly increase. I think that for the whole season we were able to make progress. If you didn’t finish second, then you didn’t deserve it. Unfortunately, Hoost has better goal difference. So, more work needs to be done.
I will note the progress of the PFL This concerns the media, because all the matches were collected on one channel, they had the opportunity to analyze the opponent. On the whole, the League did a good job, this applies to other aspects of its life.
– Are there any changes in the club infrastructure?
– We invite everyone who wants to go and see the process of building the base, so that there are no unnecessary questions. The distance from the stadium to the base can be overcome in about seven minutes. Now we are working on the drainage system, laying communications. Works on the construction of administrative buildings have been completed by 65%. First of all, we build locker rooms, offices, a mini-gym, showers, as well as three fields. While the fields will be with artificial turf.
– In winter, you signed a Brazilian. Can we expect more legionnaires in the team?
– I think that Guilherme has made progress in the spring part of the season. If he continues to work like this, he will remain in the team and play. As for beginners, everything will be decided by the coach. Surely a new coach will join us with new players. Now five players have renegotiated contracts with the club. Perhaps two or three players from the main clip may leave the team. Rented Yevgeny Kostyuk returns to the location of Kolos.
– If you could move up in class, would the club be ready for it?
– This is a very difficult question, but we set such a task. We would do everything to play decently in the First League. I would like to note that we plan to play at the new stadium in September, and before that at the Central City Stadium.
