Luis Enrique loses interest in Italian club offer
Napoli held preliminary talks with the former Bayern coach Julian Nagelsmann.
The President of the Partenopeia Aurelio De Laurentiis contacted the German specialist. The club wanted to find out the terms of Nagelsmann’s termination of the contract with Bayern, in particular about financial compensation.
Earlier it was reported that Napoli is in talks with Luis Enrique. De Laurentiis made an offer to the Spanish specialist, after which Enrique lost interest in working with Partenopeia.
Napoli head coach Luciano Spalletti has confirmed he plans to leave the team at the end of the season. However, the coach is also not sure that he will return to the club after a year of leave.
Napoli became the champion of Italy ahead of schedule, winning the first Scudetto in 33 years. In the final round of Serie A, the Spalletti team will host Sampdoria on June 4th.
