Athletistic/Football. Aris coach Alexei Shpilevsky has expressed his thoughts on the future of Russian striker Alexander Kokorin. According to him, the Cypriot club intends to agree on the acquisition of the player from Fiorentina.
“As for the future of Kokorin, we have completed the task and have already started discussions with the club’s management regarding preparations for the new season. We want to keep Sasha, and he himself has also expressed a desire to stay. We have prospects, including participation in the Champions League, which everyone is interested in. I think we can come to an agreement with Fiorentina,” Shpilevsky said as quoted by RB Sport.
During the 2022/2023 season in the Cyprus Championship, Kokorin played 28 games in which he scored 13 goals and made six assists. Previously, he received the Cyprus Footballers’ Association award as the best player of the season.
