Athletistic/Football. Vladimir Bystrov, former football player of the Russian national team, expressed his position on the tragic incident in Rostov-on-Don, where the wind blew from the podium of one of the stadiums. More than 30 people were injured, mostly children, and the mother of one died from her injuries.

“Right now I spend a lot of time with the kids and watch them train. When I visit the stadiums, I see what state they are in. It often makes me sad.”

Why don’t we see that child safety should be a priority? It is necessary to constantly check whether there is a threat of accidental collapse or, as in this case, caused by wind and natural phenomena. We need to learn lessons and continually improve.

I do not know the opinion of the organizers of sporting events, but one thing is clear: real changes are necessary. Because the injuries and even the death of children are absolutely unacceptable!

Someone has to be held accountable. However, in practice we see something happening that should not happen in the modern world. The people, if they are responsible for this horror, begin to throw the responsibility on others.

For something to change, does something like what happened in Rostov-on-Don have to happen? I express my sincere condolences and support to the victims…” Bystrov wrote on his telegram channel.
