Roma coach Jose Mourinho did not retain a medal for second place in the Europa League.
The Roman club lost to Sevilla in a penalty shootout with the score 4:1 (regular time and extra time – 1:1). The Portuguese specialist immediately after the award presented his medal to a young fan in the stands.
Mourinho was beaten in the European Cup final for the first time in his coaching career. He previously won the UEFA Cup in 2003 with Porto, won the Champions League twice with Porto (2004) and Inter (2010), and won the Europa League with Manchester United (2017) and the Conference League with “Rome” (2022).
