‘He seemed Spanish’ – Mourinho slams Europa League final referee

The head coach “Roma” Jose Mourinho after the team’s defeat in the Europa League final, he criticized the match’s chief referee, Briton Anthony Taylor.

The Roman club lost to Sevilla in a penalty shootout with the score 4:1 (regular time and extra time – 1:1).

Taylor showed 13 yellow cards during the game, including seven to Roma players.

“I told the guys we leave here with the trophy or we leave dead. Well, we’re dead. We’re physically tired, mentally tired, dead because we think it’s a loss with many controversial incidents.

It was a tense, brave and flashy match with a referee who looked Spanish. There were yellow cards all the time. The injustice is that Eric Lamela should have received a second yellow card, the referee didn’t, and Lamela converted a shot in the penalty shootout, Mourinho said.

The live broadcast of the Europa League final took place on the channels , Match! Football 1” and MATCH PREMIER, as well as on the matchtv.ru and sportbox.ru sites.
