Midfielder Luka Modric notified the management of Madrid real Madrid that he wants to leave the team and go to a club in Saudi Arabia, reports OKDiario .

According to the publication, the Croatian has received a lucrative offer – a three-year contract worth a total of 120 million euros. The club, which is ready to pay such a sum to a 37-year-old footballer, is not named.

Earlier in the media there were reports that Modric could extend the contract with the “Royal Club”, but after several weeks of reflection, the player’s opinion changed. He could play his last game at the Bernabéu this Sunday against Athletic. Real Madrid don’t mind the departure of a player who management believe has earned the right to decide his future.

The footballer has made 51 appearances for Real Madrid in all competitions this season, scoring six goals and providing six assists. Modric’s contract with Real Madrid expires at the end of the season.
