Athletistic/ Football. There is very little time left before the end of the Russian Football Championship. Already this Saturday, June 3, the matches of the 30th day of the RPL will take place. Of course, the Russian champion is already known. For the fifth consecutive time, Zenit won gold medals. The Saint Petersburg club secured first place four more rounds before the end of the season. At the same time, the teams directly out of the RPL have already been precisely determined. “Khimki” and “Torpedo” are in 15th and 16th place respectively and have already lost the chance to keep a place in the elite division. At the same time, the 30th round will be interesting from the point of view of the fight for other places. We offer to study interesting layouts in the fight for silver medals. Note that, by tradition, the matches of the last round will take place simultaneously.
Fight for second place
Three teams are vying for the money. First of all, it’s CSKA. Vladimir Fedotov can win the award as a coach for the second season in a row. A year ago he did it with Sochi. Now the Army team is second with 55 points. The chances for second place are also Spartak, who scored 54 points, and Rostov, who scored 53 points. Spartak won the Russian Championship medal in 2021. Then the red-whites became the runners-up under Domenico Tedesco. “Rostov” has not been on the podium since 2016, when Kurban Berdyev led the team to silver.
At some point, it seemed that CSKA seriously broke away from their pursuers, because “Spartak” lost points, and “Rostov” had a serious decline. However, in the 28th round, Spartak managed to beat CSKA and close the gap to one point. In the 29th round, CSKA and Spartak lost points, having played their matches in a draw, but Rostov managed to beat Akhmat (a direct competitor) and catch up with Moscow clubs. In the 30th round, the matches will be as follows:
CSKA-Rostov
“Wings of the Soviets” – “Spartak”.
The layouts can be the following:
1) If CSKA wins over Rostov, regardless of the result of the match, Spartak wins silver medals. “Spartacus” in this case will definitely remain in third place.
2) If CSKA and Rostov draw and Spartak defeats Krylya Sovetov, then the red-whites win silver and the army team becomes third.
3) If CSKA and Rostov are tied and Spartak is tied with Krylya Sovetov, silver will go to CSKA and bronze to Spartak.
4) If CSKA and Rostov are tied and Spartak lose to Krylya Sovetov, CSKA will win silver and Rostov bronze. Rostov and Spartak will have equal points and Valery Karpin’s team will have an advantage in head-to-head matches.
5) If “Rostov” wins CSKA and “Spartak” overtakes “Wings”, the army team is eliminated from the top three. Then “Spartak” will become the second, and “Rostov” the third
6) If “Rostov” wins CSKA, and “Spartak” and “Krylya Sovetov” draw, the Donetsk team will win silver, and the red-whites – bronze. On equal points, “Spartak” bypasses CSKA in personal matches.
7) If “Rostov” wins CSKA, and “Wings of the Soviets” wins “Spartak”, then “Rostov” will be second, and CSKA will be third.
