Coach wins Italian championship with Napoli
The best mentor of the season 2022/23 in Serie A recognized coach Napoli Luciano Spalletti.
Napoli became the champion of Italy ahead of schedule, winning the first Scudetto in 33 years. Spalletti won his debut career title.
The coach decided to take a break from coaching next season. The mentor’s relationship with the club’s management soured after Partenopeia president Aurelio De Laurentiis launched a contract extension option without prior conversation and agreement with the coach himself.
Spalletti himself confirmed that he was going to leave the team at the end of the season. However, the coach is also not sure that he will return to the club after a year of leave.
Napoli will end the season against Sampdoria on June 4th. In place of the Italian, the leadership of the Neapolitans is considering the candidacies of Luis Enrique and Julian Nagelsmann.
