The player wants to terminate the contract with the club
Ex-forward of Dynamo, Shakhtar and the national team of Ukraine, and now a player of Corinthians Junior Moraes filed a lawsuit against his current club.
The player wants to achieve early termination of the contract with Corinthians. Moraes wishes to leave the club due to the lack of additional payments of the seniority guarantee fund and the incorrect payment of image rights.
In a unilateral position, Moraes and his lawyers were unable to terminate the agreement, as the court decided to conduct a full procedure for the player’s claim against the club.
Moraes has been a Shakhtar player since the summer of 2018, before that the forward represented Metalurh Donetsk and Dynamo Kyiv. He has 96 goals in 172 UPL matches to his credit. As part of the Ukrainian national team, 35-year-old Junior scored one goal in 11 matches.
This season, the striker has four matches (104 minutes) without scoring. Moraes’ current contract with Corinthians runs until December 2023. Junior’s club is in 14th place in the standings.
