Dynamo said goodbye to Boyko, who left the team as a free agent

An experienced goalkeeper is forced to leave his native team.

Immediately after the match against Metallist 1925 (1:1), Dynamo Kiev announced the parting with Denis Boyko.

According to the White-Blues’ official website, the 35-year-old goalkeeper’s contract has expired and he has received free agent status.

In his final game for the club, Boyko came on as a substitute in the 88th minute, receiving the captain’s armband in the process. After the final whistle, he thanked his teammates and the whole club for all the years spent in Kiev.

Denis Boyko graduated from Dynamo. For the first team, he played 108 matches where he scored 97 goals and defended “zero” 51 times. As part of Dynamo, the goalkeeper once became the champion of Ukraine, won the cup twice and won the Super Cup three times.

Earlier, Denis Boyko said that he has no plans to end his professional career.
