President of Palermo Dario Mirri flew to Manchester to meet the leaders of the City Football Group and begin negotiations to sell the newly promoted Rosanero club to Serie B. Journal of Sicily explaining that the Abu Dhabi-based international group is expected to close a deal to buy the club’s majority stake, 80%, with Mirri retaining a 20% stake. At the meeting of the parties, the details will be clarified, and the signatures on the documents should be received within a couple of weeks. The deal could then be finalized in Milan, at the headquarters of Lazard Business Bank, which, among other things, sponsored the negotiations between the parties.
