The association is in talks with several countries to host the team’s matches in their stadiums.
The Ukrainian national team will not have a permanent stadium for matches. Andriy Pavelko, president of the Ukrainian Football Association, said that while the country is at war, the national team will play where it can agree on the best conditions for itself.
Negotiations are currently underway in several countries and several arenas. The final decision will be made with the new national team coach Sergei Rebrov.
For every game of our national team there is a certain standard for these stadiums and countries that become the home of our games. Today we are preparing in Slovakia, in Trnava. For the next matches we are negotiating with different countries. I can open the question a little: we can hold some matches in Germany, and in Poland, and in Austria.
We will consider all possibilities for our fans, for our team, for comfort, to have support in the stadiums that will be home for us in those matches. There are many questions, in particular, the issue of security. In every country we talk to, we ask these questions about our home games.
I am sure that our fans from all over the world, Europe will go to these games and support our team in the stadiums to deliver a grain of their heat and energy so that our players have more motivation to win and play as well as possible on the field.
Currently, all stadiums are under construction by the end of the year. Later, we will announce all the stadiums, and we will also make decisions with the head coach if there will be a choice between some stadiums or countries, so we will make a decision later,” said Pavelko.
Recall that earlier the term of Sergei Rebrov’s personal contract with UAF became known.
