The rookie of the Second League already in the first professional season is striving for promotion
Khust’s midfielder Bogdan Pavlich shared his impressions of the matches against Niva Buzova and Mariupol, and also noted the team’s ability to improve in class.
– Bogdan, first of all, we would like to ask about your match with Niva Buzova. How much responsibility for the result put pressure on you?
– There was confidence in our victory, and this inspired me during the match. I think that my inner feelings were also transferred to the team. This is what helped us win. Anyone can win, if you believe.
– At the 15th minute you made an irresistible shot into the left corner from the right. Is this the most important goal in your career?
– I think that my most important goals are yet to come. Of course, I am happy that I managed to bring the team victory, but we should not stop there.
– Being a midfielder, in most of the season you close the left-back’s problematic place. Does universalism help you?
– In modern football, a football player must be prepared for the fact that he will have to play in several positions. Universalism is essential for the player, helping him to progress and reach a new level. I am not afraid of any challenge. I do my best to be useful to the team.
– This season you have played 1393 minutes and scored two goals. Are you satisfied with your stability and progress?
– Progress this season encourages me to strive to win over myself in the first place. I do everything in order to progress from match to match. I think that you can be satisfied with such a result, but you should not stop there. Ahead of the conquest of new heights.
– In what way has Khust progressed in the spring part of the season?
– We proved that football in Khust is developing. We are hardy, persistent and always focused on winning. I believe that such dedication and dedication to one’s work helps to achieve results.
– In your opinion, does the team still lack the length of the bench, or is there no problem with this?
– I think that we have no significant problems with the bench, and “little flaws” are easily solved. Of course, it is always necessary to strengthen the squad so that there is healthy competition, and the players do not stop in development.
– Since October, you have not lost a single match (six wins and two draws). How did you achieve such a result?
– This is the result of the daily hard work of each player and the whole team as a whole. At the winter training camp, we did not waste time, but did everything in order to reach a new level and achieve our goals. I also want to note the good microclimate within the team and the qualified coaching staff.
– Did the team have a conversation with the president on the eve of the first match against Mariupol? What did he tell you? How important was it to win at any cost?
Yes, I have had a conversation with the president. We were determined to win, because it is always our goal in any match. This game was no exception, but, unfortunately, they could not keep the advantage.
– In the match against Mariupol, you played in a far from optimal combination of defenders. How much did it affect the outcome of the match? This is especially true of the second half of the meeting.
– This could not but affect our game, because we are not Manchester City, which has 22 equal players. However, due to the correct tactics chosen and the competent location of the players on the field, they were able to compensate for most of the problematic moments as much as possible.
– In general, are you satisfied with the quality of the team’s game? What was missing to win?
– I think that we can be satisfied with the game, but we always want more. There is no limit to perfection. I’m sure we can play better. On Friday we will try to prove it and win.
– Have you felt that you are able to improve in the class and are in no way inferior to Mariupol?
— Mariupol has a better team, but we are not inferior to them in any way. We will do everything to win and reach the First League. All thoughts now are only about this.
– How difficult was Khust’s path to the professional level? What was the hardest thing?
– The path to heights in any field is not easy, but without difficulties there are no victories! We believe in ourselves and are sure that our hard work will bring results.
