Vanat: The call to the national team was not a big surprise, because I worked for this

Dynamo player commented on the debut challenge to the national team

Attack Dynamo Vladislav Vanat shared his emotions from the debut challenge in national team of Ukraine.

“The call to the national team did not come as a strong surprise, because I worked for this, dreamed of getting here and dreams come true. It’s nice to be here and see all the guys.”

“There was excitement when I found out about the challenge for the first time, about 5 minutes, but now I calmly accepted it and everything is fine.”

Vanat also expressed his opinion about the new head coach of the Ukrainian national team Serhiy Rebrov.

“Rebrov is a very good coach. I am glad that he came to our team and I am sure that he will bring it to a higher level. I just said hello to him and he immediately asked if I learned how to speak with the judges. I said I learned.”

Sergei Rebrov left Al Ain and became the new coach of the Ukrainian national team. In June, the Ukrainian national team will play two qualifying matches for Euro 2024. The Blue-Yellows will play the first match away against North Macedonia on June 16, and then the second match will be played at home against Malta on June 19. Ukraine are fourth in Group C after a first-round loss to England. Rebrov’s first match as national coach will be a friendly between Ukraine and Germany on June 12, which will be the Bundesteam’s 1,000th in history.
