Former Baltika midfielder Mladen Kashchelan called the Kaliningrad team the main in life, noting that he gave this club all his physical and emotional strength.
At the end of the current season, the 40-year-old footballer announced his retirement from the game. In Russia, Kashchelan also defended the colors of Arsenal from Tula, Tosno from the Leningrad region and Tambov.
– You have played in many clubs, but you have not played anywhere as long as in Baltika. The main team for you?
– Honestly, this is my main team in life. About 10 years ago I decided for myself that the best place was where I was right now. But Baltika forced me to change position. I finally realized that when the whole stadium saw me at the last game and all the guys invited me, my wife and my son on stage to say goodbye. For four years I shared a lodge with real professionals who gave vacations to a special region of Russia. SO “Baltica” can’t compare to any place I’ve played before.
I have given this club more than I have given to any other club. I have blossomed 100% physically and mentally. I gave my word that Baltika would be in the Premier League, and I kept it. Also, a great future awaits the club and the fans, but already without me as a player. But we will definitely see you again! — quotes Kashchelan Metaratings.ru.
Kashchelan has played for the Kaliningraders for the past four seasons, securing Baltika’s entry into the RPL.
