Who is better from Manchester City and Inter Milan?

Manchester City and Inter Milan will star in the UEFA Champions League grand final, but which squad is better prepared? Check it out!

Manchester City and Inter Milan have what it takes to stage an excellent UEFA Champions League final at the Atatürk Olympic Stadium in Turkey. Both teams have extremely qualified squads and didn’t reach the decision for nothing. But which team is more prepared? Who plays better? Let’s analyze sector by sector!

First of all, it is necessary to point out that, although both teams use formations with a line of three defenders, the tactical schemes are very different and the characteristics of their players as well. For example: Inter’s “wingers” (Dimarco and Dumfries) are full-backs, that is, they support the attack, but have more defensive qualities, while City’s (Grealish and Bernardo Silva) are midfielders/wingers, therefore they have more offensive qualities.

DEFENSE

The defensive sector of the teams is, by far, the one with the greatest balance. The teams boast two of the best defenses in the competition, with City conceding just five goals (best defense) and Inter ten. In turn, the Italians have the highest number of Clean Sheets (eight games without conceding goals), in addition to leading in recovered balls (461) and tackles (83).

Pep Guardiola should scale his team’s defense with Ederson in goal and a trio of defenders formed by Kyle Walker, Ruben Dias and Aké (or Akanji). Inzaghi’s team should enter the field with Onana in goal, Acerbi, Bastoni and Darmian in the defense. Despite the balance, the Manchester City team has a slight advantage, having a lower average of goals conceded.

MIDDLE FIELD

The midfield of both teams is heavily populated by the presence of their wingers, who defend but always support the attack. This sector is where Manchester City manages to differentiate itself and build its game. Stones and Rodri form a pair of midfielders who support the defense and make a spectacular pass.

Further ahead, Gundogan (who is going through a great phase) and none other than Kevin De Bruyne, the best midfielder in the world for a few years, creating plays. And on the wings, Grealish and Bernardo Silva support the attack and provide varied options, such as plays from the backline or inside.

Inter, on the other hand, mixes physical and technical strength in their midst. Barella, one of the best midfielders in the world today, distributes the game like no one else. Çalhanoglu and Mkhitaryan give a lot of creativity to the attack and the wingers, Dimarco and Dumfries, as they are full-backs, support the defensive sector a lot. The Italians still have the Croatian Brozovic who, if he is a starter, runs for the 90 minutes, in addition to delivering a great ball output.

ATTACK

Finally, Inter’s attack is formed by a duo: Lautaro Martínez (a more mobile striker) and Dzeko or Lukaku, both strikers who are lethal inside the area. On the other hand, City have Erling Haaland, top scorer in the Champions League who, alone, scored 52 goals in the season, more than any other player on the planet.

Therefore, the English also have a slight advantage in this sector, as the Norwegian has had the best season of his career so far, has already been crowned with the golden boot and is still a strong candidate in the fight for the best player in the world award . But, despite previous analyses, anything can happen in the 90 minutes of a football game and only after the ball rolls on Saturday, 10th, at 4pm (Brasília time) will we know who will win!
