Lapochkin believes Ivanov mistakenly named a penalty against Yenisei in the play-off with Fakel

Former FIFA referee Sergei Lapochkin has expressed the opinion that referee Sergei Ivanov made a mistake in naming a penalty against Yenisei in the return match FONBET for the right to play in the Russian Premier League WORLD (RPL) v Fakel (0:2).

In the 8th minute of the match, defender Nikolai Markov knocked down Fakel striker Yevgeny Markov in his own penalty area, after which the referee awarded a penalty, which was converted by Roman Akbashev.

– The referee had an excellent position, he immediately spreads his arms, because for him it is not a penalty, then suddenly immediately changes his mind. Yes, we see that the defender pushes the ball carefully and intelligently. Yes, there may be some kind of contact. So what? Contact well, and contact. The defender plays the ball. My opinion is that the penalty was awarded in error,” Lapochkin said on MATCH PREMIER.

Lapochkin also believes Ivanov mistakenly decided not to award an 11-yard penalty for a foul on Torch goalkeeper Ilya Svinov, who crashed into an opponent in the 55th minute.

– In fact, the moment is 50 to 50. According to the rules of the game, the striker plays the ball, and the goalkeeper hits it – this is a foul. The Russian referees have recommended that if this happens and there is no recklessness or rudeness in the goalkeeper’s actions, then a penalty should not be awarded. For me every referee is an intelligent person, he has to find balance in the game. Here we are looking at two points, which is the most obvious penalty? It turns out that in the first he is named, but not in the second, ”added Lapochkin.

Voronezh also won the first game in Krasnoyarsk – 1:0. According to the sum of two meetings, the club has retained its registration in the RPL.
