Ilya became the winner of the competition in exercises on parallel bars
Ukrainian Ilya Kovtun won two medals on the first day of the stage finals World Challenge Cup in Artistic Gymnastics in Croatian Osijek.
Kovtun became the winner of the competition in exercises on parallel bars. The Ukrainian scored 15.133 points, ahead of the Turk Ferhat Aryjan (14.966) and the Brazilian Kaio Souza (14.533).
Ilya also became a bronze medalist in exercises on a horse. Kovtun finished third with a score of 14.500 behind two Armenians Gagik Khachikyan (14.766) and Artur Davtyan (14.600).
On Sunday, June 11, Kovtun will perform in three finals (vault, crossbar and ring exercises).
